PUNE Professor Karbhari Vishwanath Kale, the new vice-chancellor (V-C) of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), appointed two deans for the university’s several streams.

According to SPPU authorities, two new deans have been appointed, while two others have been retained, after the term of the previous deans came to an end last week.

Prof Vijay Khare, the head of SPPU’s international center, has been named dean of the college of humanities, while Prof Deepak Mane has been named dean of the faculty of interdisciplinary studies. Prof. Manohar Chaskar is the dean of the faculty of science and technology, while Prof. Parag Kalkar is the dean of the faculty of commerce and management.
